Australian compostable satchels - Our compostable satchels are eco-friendly alternatives to plastic packaging. Our satchels are plant based, made of PBAT (compost polymer) and PLA (corn derivatives). They can be composted at home or commercially, leaving no harmful residues.

Back To Earth Packaging was founded by Jason and Jenny, two healthcare workers from Melbourne, Victoria. While Jenny was on maternity leave, she opened an online store focusing on eco-friendly products. She was looking for an alternative to Australia Post plastic mailers to send her products. In her search for more sustainable packaging, she found the Australasian Bioplastics Association. They are the peak body for the bioplastics industry in Australia and New Zealand, who are dedicated in promoting bioplastics that are compostable and based on renewable sources.
