A Day Porter, also referred to as each day Matron or just a Porter, may be a person who is stationed during a commercial building to help in daily facility duties which are mostly cleaning related. These duties can include, but aren't limited to policing public areas, touching up restrooms, restocking consumable paper/soap supplies, policing entrance ways, changing bulbs, learning in smoking areas, checking cafeterias/coffee stations, cleaning up spills.
