Shivajinagar is an area in Bangalore in Karnataka state, India. After Majestic bus station, the next major bus station in the city is Shivaji Nagar bus station, from here bus services are provided to each and every part in Bangalore and Cantonment Railway Station is in close proximity. Russel Market is the famous market in this place; it was started during the British reign in India (1927). Coles Park a well maintained park, draped in rich green is a favorite place to the residents of this place to stroll in the evening. Ulsoor Lake is the closest water resource to Shivaji Nagar. For recreational purpose boating is organized and this spot is a preferred place for picnic to the residents of the locality, and there is a small park adjacent to the lake.
