Info
Hongqiao Airport Terminal 2 Station (simplified Chinese: 虹桥2号航站楼站; traditional Chinese: 虹橋2號航站樓站; pinyin: Hóngqiáo Erhào Hangzhàn Lóu Zhàn) is an interchange station between Line 2 and Line 10 on the Shanghai Metro. The Line 2 portion opened on March 16, 2010, and the Line 10 part opened on November 30, 2010.The metro station is located near Terminal 2 of Hongqiao International Airport and the nearby high-speed railway station of the same name, which opened on July 1, 2010.
This station is a "Virtual Interchange" Station. An SPTC is required for interchanging at this station if a passenger would like to tranfer between the Line 10 Hongqiao Railway Station bound trains and Line 2 platform East Xujing bound trains. However there is a platform allowing cross-platform interchange between Line 2 Pudong International Airport bound trains and Line 10 Xinjiangwancheng bound trains opened on Dec 30, 2017, making SPTC unnessesary in such kind of transfer.
A future station on the Maglev Line is also planned near this station.
