Info
Inside every tooth there is a core of tissue, blood vessels and nerves that extends to the tooth's roots in the jaw called the dental pulp. Sometimes, due to a range of different causes, this pulp may suffer damage. It may be because of neglect, decay or accidental injury. Should this damage or decay advance far enough, the pulp and tooth itself will die and require a tooth extraction or root canal therapy. This pulp feeds the tooth nutrients so that it may grow during development, but once the it is fully grown the pulp can be replaced without compromising the tooth. At Dr. Louis Diamandakos & Associates in Peterborough, we can rely on years of experience and the best-accepted practices in dentistry to help you avoid pain and inconvenience.
