The Real Estate (Regulation & Development Act) popularly known as RERA came into power on 1st May 2016 to protect the interests of home buyers and enhance transparency, accountability, standardization, and consistency in the real estate sector. RERA registration is mandatory for builders, agents, and promoters under the RERA act established by the state government. The state government has all the powers to set up the rules and regulations for RERA registration process for agents.
